Eric D. Brooks Founder and Expert

Dr. Brooks, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Florida, is an experienced physician specializing in breast, lung, and lymphoma cancers. A two-time recipient of excellence in patient care awards, he is dedicated to providing top-notch care and has trained at prestigious institutions such as MD Anderson Cancer Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Brooks contributes significantly to the scientific community with over 50 publications in leading medical journals and has presented society-endorsed guidelines for recurrent tumor treatment at major oncology meetings.

Joe Y. Chang Founder and Expert

Dr. Chang is a renowned thoracic radiation oncologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center, known for his 30+ years of clinical and research expertise and pioneering work in stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR), proton therapy, and immunotherapy for lung cancer. With over 300 published articles, his groundbreaking research, including the world's first reported studies on various innovative treatments, has significantly shaped the lung cancer field. As a distinguished committee member and principal investigator of important clinical studies, Dr. Chang continues to impact the radiation oncology community by leading consensus statements on pivotal aspects of thoracic cancer treatment.

Xiaodong Zhang Founder and Expert

Dr. Xiaodong Zhang, Ph.D., is a distinguished professor at the Department of Radiation Physics, Division of Radiation Oncology, at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is a board-certified radiation physicist with an extensive background in Physics and Electrical Engineering. His research contributions have significantly impacted the field of radiation oncology, with a primary focus on radiation-induced esophagitis and automatic treatment planning. Dr. Zhang is recognized globally for his collaborative efforts and his pioneering work in the application of physics in radiation oncology.

Mark Artz Founder and Expert

Dr. Artz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Florida with a key role in clinical commissioning and operation of proton and photon therapies. Previously, he made significant contributions at the Provision Proton Therapy Center and the University of Tennessee, where he was instrumental in developing a CAMPEP residency program and a Master of Science degree program in Medical Physics. He has an academic pedigree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, having contributed to the development of superconducting cyclotrons and gantries for proton therapy.

Charles B. Simone II Expert and Leader

Dr. Charles B. Simone II, FACRO, serves as the Chief Medical Officer of the New York Proton Center and Research Professor, and is a respected figure in the field of thoracic oncology and proton therapy, particularly for thoracic malignancies and reirradiation. His prior roles include Chief of the Thoracic Oncology Service at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and Medical Director of the Maryland Proton Treatment Center. Dr. Simone has been acknowledged with numerous accolades for his contributions and expertise in lung cancer, sarcomas, cardiac tumors, and recurrent tumors among other areas.

Matthew Culbert Founder and Developer

Dr. Matthew Culbert, is an esteemed chief resident physician in radiation oncology at the University of Florida Shands and a notable innovator in digital healthcare. With international recognition as a proficient mobile application developer, he has built a suite of health apps on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Furthermore, he manages a diverse range of health-related websites, underscoring his commitment to enhancing patient education and medical accessibility through technology. His pioneering work in the fusion of healthcare and technology has set a new benchmark in patient-focused digital health solutions.

Jeff Ryckman Expert and Leader

Dr. Jeff Ryckman, MD, MSMP, is a pioneering Medical Physicist-turned-Doctor currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center. With a track record of more than a decade across academia and clinical research, Dr. Ryckman brings an unparalleled depth of expertise to oncology and medical physics. As the Founder of RadOncReview.org, he has contributed to elevating the free educational resources available to professionals in the medical community. He also compiled the largest database of nearly 3,000 constraint metrics for all OARs and fractionation schemes, freely available through Rad Onc Calc, a collaboration with Matt Culbert.
